Earlier this year I took a few hours at sunrise to photograph the various sneakers hanging above Isla Vista on the power lines. Most of these pairs have been tossed up by graduating seniors on their way out. After posting some of these photographs on my Instagram, I found out some of these shoes are owned by friends! 

To make the series more interesting each pair of shoes was photographed twice. Once from further away (about 100mm zoom) and a close-up shot at 400mm.
